Community Spotlight: ACB Friends and Family

By Rebeca and Family

About a year ago, I made the decision to join this amazing group and I am truly happy and proud to be a part of the ACB family. I have connected with so many amazing people and look forward to what the future has in store for all of us.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to host the community events, and a special thank you to Cheryl McNeil Fisher and Kathy King from Writing Works Wonders for continuing to encourage and inspire me and many others.
I would also like to give a special shout out to Moe Rojas Carpenter for making all the parents feel welcomed and valued in What’s the Matter with Kids. And I want to give thanks to everyone who works so hard behind the scenes to make ACB’s community events possible.

On December 31, bring in 2022 with your ACB Family at the second annual Community-Athon on ACB Media 5 and Zoom! We’ve now held over 6,000 community events since March 2020 with no sign of slowing down. These events are facilitated, hosted, and attended by the community; all by and for blind and visually impaired people. For every $25 donated at https://tinyurl.com/2021-community-athon, your name will be placed in a prize drawing which will take place toward the end of each hour throughout this Community-Athon, and you don’t have to be in attendance to win! To receive the Zoom information for this event and other community events, please subscribe to our ACB Community Events email list by sending an email to: ACB-Community-Events+subscribe@acblists.org.
